This webinar addressed themes such as how to “Deepen Agriculture Literacy to Enhance the Value of Agriculture,” “Reversing Rural Poverty through Agricultural Education” and “Halal Development: Trends, Opportunities and Challenges,” as well as successfully brought together nearly 300 scholars, researchers, industry professionals and investors from 30 countries to discuss Agriculture literacy and Halal development.

The International Association for Sustainable Agriculture (IAAS), Singapore Management University Lee Kong Chian School of Business (SMU-LKCSB) and Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) held a conference based on “Innovation for Sustainable Food ” at the Singapore Management University on November 27th. In addition, it is also the first anniversary of the establishment of IAAS. Through this conference, IAAS was not only celebrating the growth of the Association but also transmitting its aim; “Serving as a non-profit international organization and providing the international platform for worldwide industry owners, professionals and researchers to share their knowledge and ideas in the agriculture sector”

International scholars and experts from the United States, Finland, New Zealand, Mainland China, India, Thailand, Singapore and Taiwan concerning the issues of agricultural sustainability and environment congregated in Singapore on January 20. They jointly declared the establishment of “International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS)” in Singapore Management University (Singapore Management University, SMU), which is chaired by the former dean of agriculture college of the University of Maryland, Professor Cheng-i Wei.

IAAS as a professional platform generates agricultural innovation energy. It’s agricultural innovation and sustainable development could help agricultural sustainability develop the developing countries and regions.
