Dr. Tan Wee Liang

Dr. Tan is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Singapore Management University (SMU).
Dr. Tan has served as a national expert for entrepreneurship and SMEs for APEC, Asian Productivity Organization, the Colombo Plan Secretariat and the Commonwealth Secretariat. His current research interests lie in the domains of entrepreneurship, family business, international cooperation, and corporate governance. His initial research was in law as he began his career as a law professor. He has since moved into entrepreneurship research and published in Journals and Reviews such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of High Technology Management Research. In addition to journal publications, he serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Small Business Management, International Entrepreneurship and Management Research, and Small Business Research.
Prof. Lee Chee Wee
Director of Aquaculture Innovation Centre
Prof. Lee Chee Wee is the Director for Aquaculture Innovation Centre, Technology Advisor for Temasek Polytechnic and Co-Director for Centre for Aquaculture Research, Innovation and Education in Nanyang Technological University. He received his BSc and MSc from McGill University, Canada, and PhD from the University of Alberta, Canada. He was a recipient of the Alberta Heritage Foundation Scholarship for Medical Research. Dr Lee had carried out his Post-doctoral Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, USA, before pursuing his academic career at YLL School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where he is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor.
Dr. Ravi Khetarpal
Executive Secretary, APAARI
Dr. Khetarpal is the Executive Secretary of Asia Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) since 2017 and is based at Bangkok. He is also involved in execution of projects sponsored by FAO, EU, WTO, ACIAR, USDA and others on knowledge management, agriculture innovation system, agriculture science technology indicators and pesticide risk mitigation. He is presently serving as the Chairman of Tropical Agricultural Platform of FAO, and has been recently also selected as the Chair for Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovations. He holds PhD in Life Sciences (Plant Pathology) from University of Paris. His own areas of interest include research, development, policy issues and capacity building in the field of biosecurity, biosafety, seed certification and biodiversity. He also represented Asia as a Developing Country SPS Expert in STDF Working Group (2016-2017) in WTO. He has published 110 research papers, 18 books, 59 book chapters, 16 review articles and policy papers.
Dr. Ho-Hsien Chen
Dean of College of Agriculture, Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan
Dr. Henry Ho-Hsien Chen is now the Dean at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology. His Fields of Specialization are in Food Dehydration, Food Machinery Design, Supercritical CO2, Extraction, Renewable Energy, Grey Theory, and Control and Automation.
In 1996, Dr. Chen got his Ph.D. in the Department of Automatic Control and System Engineering in the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom; in addition, since 2005, he has been a professor at the Department of Food Science at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.
