The 1st International Sustainable Development Conference (ISDC 2020) was held in the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) on 27th November in which especially overlap the 96 anniversary of NPUST. The conference gathered experts and partners around the world to discuss sustainable development goals.
Conference Theme – Our Common Future
The conference topic is “Our Common Future” in which dedicated to the meaning of what we can do in the age of Anthropocene to support the sustainable development goal.
Also, to facilitate the exchange of best practice and innovative researches worldwide in the transdisciplinary fields of sustainable development, this year’s conference is divided into four topics: Disaster Prevention, Smart Agriculture, Circular Economy and Ecosystem Restoration.
NPUST co-organize with four NPUST partner universities – University of Brawijaya (UB) and IPB University in Indonesia, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) in Thailand and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Malaysia. We are also especially delighted to be joined by Kasetsart University(KU), International Association for Agriculture Sustainability (IAAS) and University Network for Tropical Agriculture (UNTA) as our valued co-organizers.
Working together with IAAS
As the co-organiser of ISDC 2020 and also the close partner with NPUST, Dr. Tzong-Ru Lee, Vice-chairman of the International Association of Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS) was pleased to participate in the conference and stated this is a milestone of both NPUST and the 1st International Sustainable Development Conference (ISDC 2020) toward the development of sustainable future.
