IAAS and IBICT Forge Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Development at COP30
Belém, Brazil — 15 November 2025
At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, the International Association for Agricultural Sustainability (IAAS) and the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT), under Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance sustainable development, scientific innovation, and industrial decarbonisation.
This partnership formalises a long-term collaboration between the two institutions, aligning with both Singapore’s national sustainability agenda and Brazil’s leadership in Amazon conservation and circular bioeconomy transformation. Together, IAAS and IBICT aim to build global bridges for knowledge exchange, innovation, and actionable climate solutions.
Four Strategic Pillars of Collaboration
Under the MoU, both organisations will cooperate across four key areas:
- Research and Development
- Education and Training
- Technology Transfer
- Business Collaboration
These pillars will drive collaborative projects, training programmes, and innovation platforms that empower sustainable ecosystems in the Amazon and across the Asia-Pacific region.
