The 1st International Sustainable Development Conference (ISDC 2020) will be hosted by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) located in Pingtung, Taiwan on 27-28 November, 2020. The conference dates also overlap with the 96th anniversary of this smart agriculture specialized higher education institution who has been ranked by UI GreenMetric World University No. 1 greenest university in Taiwan for consecutive 6 years since 2014 and No. 3 and No. 6 in Asia in 2014 and 2019 respectively.
In particular, as NPUST marching toward the centennial, ISDC is serving as a collaboration-oriented platform to promote interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and international cooperation. The overarching theme of ISDC 2020 is “Our Common Future”. The selection of this broad but important subject is to welcome various disciplines or even non-academic, namely practitioners, to discuss our common future topics in the age of Anthropocene.
To facilitate the exchange of best practices and innovative researches worldwide in the transdisciplinary fields of sustainable development, this year’s conference is divided into four topics, co-organizing with four NPUST partner universities – University of Brawijaya (UB) and IPB University in Indonesia, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) in Thailand and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Malaysia. We are also specially delighted to be joined by Kasetsart University(KU), International Association for Agriculture Sustainability (IAAS) and University Network for Tropical Agriculture (UNTA) as our valued co-organizers.
We cordially invite our partners and researchers worldwide to take advantage of this academic exchange opportunity to visit us in Taiwan, to assemble inter-national and inter-disciplinary research teams, to share research results, to publish and thrive together.
